What is the KANNA / SCELETIUM plant?

Kanna or Sceletium has been used for centuries in South Africa as a traditional medicinal herb and natural anti-depressant by San and Khoikhoi people. Traditionally the plant is chewed, brewed into teas, or smoked. South African San people use Kanna (or also known as Kougoed) as a mood enhancer, pain reliever, sleeping aid, to relieve anxiety or stress, quench their thirst, fight fatigue, or for healing and spiritual purposes.

Both TRISTILL & KANNAXEON contain Sceletium Tortuosum extract – although they each have different alkaloid profiles (mesembrine). The active constituents of the Sceletium plant are Alkaloids – which include mesembrine, mesembrone, mesembrenol and tortuosamine. This variety of Alkaloids positively affect the nervous system. Alkaloids are a class of basic, naturally occurring organic compounds that contain at least one nitrogen atom. This group also includes some related compounds with neutral and even weakly acidic properties. Alkaloids are present in human daily life in food and drinks. Dosage & directions for use:

Contains one desiccant sachet.

Known symptoms of overdosage & particulars of its treatment:
These may include extreme euphoria, dizziness, tinnitus, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, anxiety and mental confusion followed by sedation.
Over-dosage or prolonged use should not give rise to any toxic effects. However, should any severe symptoms occur following over-dosage, consult your doctor or nearest hospital immediately

Advice from Angé:
TRISTILL Extra; should be taken in the morning with plenty of water if you want to start your day with a calm focused mind and able to handle the stresses of a busy day to day life.  Do not exceed the dosage of 1 per day (unless you do not notice any difference). You should feel calmer and more focused within 30 minutes of taking the capsule. I have found this particularly helpful during times of extreme stress and fatigue.
