VIRAL INFECTIONS PROTOCOL:

Viral infections are very difficult to get rid of as a virus takes over cells, mutates and moves around the body, making it difficult to pin them down and eliminate.
WHAT IS GIGARTINA: Gigartina RMA, is the richest known source of sulphated polysaccharides. These algae promote an effective cell mediated immune response to the viruses. Sulphated polysaccharides inhibit a step in viral replication both outside & inside infected cells. The possibly lethal (TO VIRUSES) effect seems to lie in the ability of certain sulphated polysaccharides to inhibit viral reverse transcriptase enzyme. Reverse transcriptase enzyme is used by the RNA of the virus to direct the DNA of the host cell to make more copies of the virus. The enzyme forces the cell to become a virus producing factory. It is through such parasitic action that a virus is able to replicate itself by using the resources of the host cell it has entered. Inhibiting the enzyme effectively inhibits the spread of the virus by blocking off future generations. Sulphated polysaccharides are believed to interfere with the function of VIRAL RNA and its reverse transcriptase messengers, creating the possibility that even the viruses responsible for the initial infection may be held in check to die later or be destroyed by NK natural killer cells. (besides interfering with vital replication, there are other indications that sulphated polysaccharides may block viruses from entering cells and or may kills them outright). This is why treatment is often recommended for 6 up to months.
Gigartina RMA should be taken in high doses on an empty stomach (see suggested dosages below). Viral symptoms may seem to disappear after a couple of days or weeks – BUT treatment should not be stopped, as the virus may simply be dormant and will rear it’s head as soon as the immune system dips again! Viruses can go into hibernation and flare up again & again (e.g. Herpes virus). As a result of these flare up (higher level of viral activity), this is the most effective time to really attempt to directly “knock the virus on its head” and bombard it with up to as much as 8 x Gigartina capsules every 2 hours.
Carrageenan is an extract from Red Marine Algae – which is a gelatinous substance often used as a natural thickening agent in place of gelatin. Due to its mucous forming properties – Carrageenan has been used in treating of lung diseases, digestive tract irritations, diarrhoea & dysentery, as well as treating stomach ulcers due to its mucous properties. (Bhakuni & Silver, 1974) when used against ulcers the body has no necessity to gastro intestinally absorb carrageenan so it acts directly on the mucous surface. (Anderson, 1969).
Researchers now also believe that RMA (Red Marine Algae) may serve as a gateway to resist many other types of bacterial and fungal pathogens and are not limited to only viral pathogen.
