ESSENTIAL TO KNOW FOR A SUCCESSFUL CLEANSE:
1. MIND SET – Make sure you are in the right frame of mind & make the commitment to yourself to stick to the cleanse before you start, because during the cleanse it may get tough & you may want to quit. The 1st & 2nd days can be the most difficult, be prepared for that & stay strong & determined.
2. CLEAR YOUR SCHEDULE – social occasions are difficult & tempting & if you detox heavily you will not feel up to going out.
3. LIVER SUPPORT – The liver & gall bladder regulates most chemical levels in the blood & excrete a product called bile, which helps carry away waste products from the liver. All the blood leaving the stomach & intestines passes through the liver. The liver processes this blood & breaks down the nutrients & drugs into forms that are easier to use for the rest of the body. The liver has been identified in more than 500 vital functions. EVERYONE needs to cleanse & support their liver, whether you drink alcohol or not, as we are all exposed to environmental pollutants, food additives, chemicals & pesticides daily! Make sure you take natural liver support supplements such as Licorice & / or Dandelion to help your liver function optimally & to avoid the buildup of toxins being cleared during the Vibrant cleanse. 5. DETOXING – remember that the worse you feel the more you need it! 7. EXERCISE – it is possible to exercise normally & maintain daily function whilst on Vibrant Cleanse. The body is able to utilise & assimilate a large amount of our protein needs using the elements available in our body, therefore even athletes can continue to train whilst on the cleanse. We have had many clients who have continued to train at professional levels whilst on a 10 day cleanse.
8. DISTRACT YOURSELF – read a good book, watch a new series, go for a long walk, go to yoga, do whatever you enjoy doing that will help keep you distracted from food.
9. SUPPORT – make sure you have a support system around you whether it is a partner, family member or friend. Having someone to lean on during the Cleanse is a big help.
10. POST CLEANSE – Stick to the post cleanse diet as directed on the Vibrant Cleanse tub. It is very important to ease yourself back on to food. Your digestive system has just had a complete break so do not overload it with heavy foods (meat, dairy, nuts, eggs) as this may result in severe cramping or toxic shock undoing all the good that you have just done! It will also promote instant weight gain.
Post Cleanse – Breaking the Cleansing Fast
When you have finished cleansing you must slowly reintroduce foods.
Day 1 Post-Cleanse
You can drink unlimited amounts of fresh fruit and vegetable juices. It is a good idea to fortify one or two servings with added Field of Greens or Green Vibrance green food powders.
Day 2 Post-Cleanse
You can have unlimited amounts of fruit and vegetable juices, and warm vegetable broth. Again, fortification with Field of Greens or Green Vibrance enhances replenishment of key nutrients.
Day 3 Post-Cleanse
You may begin eating whole fruits and vegetables and unlimited vegetable broth.
Days 4 -10 Post-Cleanse
Now you are ready to introduce other food sources. Vegetables cooked soft, herb teas, fresh vegetable and fruit juices should be used for 5 to 7 days.
Days 11+ Post-Cleanse
Concentrated proteins (i.e. meat, fish and eggs) may be reintroduced in small amounts, increasing the portions gradually over the next 10 days.
After successful cleansing you may use Vibrant Cleanse to replace one or two meals a day for maintenance.
Long term we suggest you consider modifying your diet to maintain the benefits of the cleanse. A diet absent of grains, with more fruit and vegetables, and less animal protein and fats, will be healthy and invigorating.
